Covad Benefits

The following benefits program is offered to all regular full-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week.

Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans

Covad offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. There are three medical plan options:  the PPO, POS, and HMO plans.

Flexible Benefit Accounts

These accounts allow you to put pre-tax dollars into two different accounts. The Health Care account allows you to set aside up to $3,000 each year to pay for eligible health care expenses incurred by you and your eligible dependents. The Dependent Care account allows you to set aside up to $5,000 each year to pay for eligible child or elder day care expenses.

Life Insurance

Covad provides basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance equal to your annual salary. Supplemental life insurance is available for you, your spouse, and your dependent children.

Disability Plans

Covad provides short-term and long-term disability plans. Income protection is provided to you if you are certified to be disabled and unable to work.

401(k) Plan

Per the plan, employees can contribute up to 25% of wages on a pre-tax basis, up to the IRS yearly maximum.

Paid Time Off and Holidays

Employees are given seven paid company holidays per year. Covad's paid time off policy allows employees the flexibility to use accrued paid time off days any way they wish for vacation, sick days, and personal days off. Part-time employees accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis.

Employee Assistance Program

This program provides counseling and referral services to you and everyone in your household.

Tuition Reimbursement Program

Upon approval, Covad will pay up to $5,000 per calendar year for employees who choose to pursue an eligible undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university.

Commuter Check Program

This program allows commuter check vouchers to be purchased through pre-tax payroll deductions.

Credit Union

Credit union membership benefits are available nationwide.

Employee Discount Programs

Discounted DSL service is offered to our employees through the Covad's employee DSL program. Gym membership discounts are also available from fitness clubs. We also partner with wireless phone companies and a computer vendor to offer special discounts for cellular phones and computer products to employees.
